Stars Crashing Cars is
the recording and performing moniker for songwriter, vocalist and
guitarist Derek Schanche. Lie To The Sun is his brand new album
filled with an indelible brand of melodic rock that made his
previous band, Senor Happy, one of the most frequently licensed
bands by network television programs. Derek�s heart-on-his-sleeve
writing style, passionate vocals and innate ability to craft catchy,
instantly memorable pop/rock songs - with plenty of loud guitars -
recalls the best of Alex Chilton, Paul Westerberg, Jeff Tweedy and
Elliot Smith, among others.
Derek also co-wrote and performed the award-winning theme song to the popular CBS
TV show, "Rules of Engagement." Stand-out tracks from Lie To The Sun
